Garrard Roofing was founded in the fall of 1959.  On May 4, 1995, Chris Wiedenhoeft purchased Garrard Roofing from the "retiring" George Garrard. On February 22, 1996 the company was formally incorporated as Champion Roofing Services, Inc.  On June 1, 1996 operations began under the new name.  In the first 20 months cumulative sales for the company reached $1 million. 1997 ended with a 200% growth over the previous year and over $1 million in sales.  Over the next five years the company grew slowly but gradually.  After the wave of hurricanes in 2004, while many other roofers were turning business away, Champion Roofing was adding sales.  Champion also added more office support staff and more roofing crews.
